Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce demanded to know from his players if they're willing to back him after defeat at Wigan, it has been revealed.

The Mirror says Allardyce furiously shouted at his players: "You're either not worried about playing for this club or not worried about playing for me. Which is it?"

He continued to tear into his flops, demanding more pride in the shirt and in their own reputations.

Allardyce has already fought off one player revolt about tactics and style of play, and yet he clearly believes some of his players are not giving 100 per cent in their performances for the club.
