Allardyce delighted to see Gueye seal Everton future

Everton manager Sam Allardyce is delighted to have secured Idrissa Gueye's services for the next four years.

The Senegal midfielder signed a new contract on Monday that will run until 2022. Energetic and fearsome, Gueye has started 24 times in the Premier League this season.

And Allardyce is glad he'll have the tenacious box-to-box player for the foreseeable future.

"I'm really pleased that Idrissa has signed a new deal at the club. He's been terrific since I've been here," said Allardyce.

"I love his attitude, the way he enjoys his football, the dedication and focus with which he trains every day and always with a smile on his face.

"It's great that he's committed long-term to Everton and he will enjoy some of his best football here in the years ahead."
