Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is convinced he can land Real Madrid star Guti - if he can find the cash to sign him.

Guti has spent the past 12 months learning English and while he has offers from Zenit St Petersburg and Galatasaray, the midfield schemer favours a move to the Premiership.

Rovers fullback Michel Salgado has been in regular contact with his ex-Real teammate about life at Ewood Park since his arrival last summer.

Allardyce hopes to fund Guti's wage packet by selling Vince Grella to Galatasaray for £2.5 million.
