Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce says goalkeeper Paul Robinson deserves his England recall.

"I think Paul Robinson is one of the countries top goalkeepers at the moment there is no danger of that," Allardyce told the club's website.

"His form suggests he is in the top three or four 'keepers in the Premier League, and you saw from his penalty save against Dundee United just how good and how sharp he really is.

"From the start of pre-season in goal he has been very good indeed and has been hitting his top form right away."
