Sam Allardyce was delighted with the way his West Ham United side performed in their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night.
The Hammers were beaten by Eden Hazard's 22nd-minute header Ramires' pinpoint cross, which Allardyce felt was offside, while the home team had some strong chances at the Boleyn Ground.
After the match, Allardyce spoke of his side's glowing performance which saw them create just as many scoring opportunities, if not more, than their league-leading opponents.
"I believe the performance was magnificent. Their goalkeeper (Thibaut Courtois) made some fantastic saves," said Allardyce.
"I think the goal is offside by a hair's breadth.
"These decisions need to go for you not against you. In saying all that we shouldn't have lost it in the chances we missed.
"We started the second half brilliantly, the keeper made some great saves, and it is a shame these are happening on a regular occurrence with no wins.
"We can only hope it turns in our favour quickly."
The defeat extended West Ham's winless run to six matches which has seen them fall to 10th place on the Premier League table.
