Allardyce begins shakeup of England backroom staff with Lee appointment

Sammy Lee has rejoined the England coaching staff - with new Three Lions boss Sam Allardyce insisting his appointment is one of many to follow in the near future.

The former Liverpool player worked under Allardyce at Bolton and most recently at Southampton working with Ronald Koeman but did not follow him when he left for Everton.

Allardyce said: "As you can see in the audience, Sammy's joining me for the second time which is pleasing for me.

"Not only did we have a great time at Bolton in the time we were there, I'm going to rely on his international experience from over many years as well.

"He's going to be one of many that are going to join me in the near future hopefully. We'll make an announcement if and when it's all agreed."
