All square between Houston Dynamo and Toronto FC

Toronto FC scored a late equaliser to grab a point against the Houston Dynamo in a 1-1 draw at BMO Field on Thursday.

Dan Gargan's 84th minute strike cancelled out Brian Ching's 72nd minute goal to give both sides a point in the second MLS match back from the World Cup break.

The draw was marred by the fact that three players were sent off with Toronto being reduced to nine men with the expulsions of Julian de Guzman in the 63rd minute and Amadou Sanyang in injury time. Houston's Joseph Ngwenya also saw red for his clash with de Guzman.

The Dynamo jumped to fourth on the Western Conference table with 18 points but teams around them - FC Dallas and San Jose Earthquakes have three games in hand - whilst Toronto went a point clear in third place on the Eastern standings.
