Gold Coast and Central Coast Mariners have fought out a dour 0-0 draw in front of the lowest Gold Coast crowd ever today.
In a game of no goals it was not unusual that the man of the match was Mariners' young custodian Mathew Ryan, who had a blinder.
The visiting side rarely troubled the opposition goal - recording just one shot on goal - instead it was Gold Coast which was frustrated by Ryan's heroics.
The crowd was a major talking point after the match.
Gold Coast coach Miron Bleiberg told Foxsports:""The market in the Gold Coast is a tricky market, I'm not the expert.
"At the moment with the A-League we have a bit of problem with the crowds.
"Once the rugby league and Aussie rules finish their finals series then we can see."
