All forgiven?!! QPR boss Redknapp sends SOS to Villa outcast Bent

Aston Villa striker Darren Bent is a shock target for QPR boss Harry Redknapp.

The Independent says QPR's desperate need of a striker may Redknapp seek out Bent. The 28-year-old, out of favour at Aston Villa, finished top scorer for Spurs in the season Redknapp took over and took the club to eighth.

However, the relationship ended acrimoniously as Redknapp slated Bent for missing a chance against Portsmouth, famously claiming his wife could've scored.

Redknapp said at the time: "You will never get a better chance to win a match than that. My missus could have scored that one.

"Bent did not only have part of the goal to aim for, but he had the entire net - and he put it wide. Unbelievable. I was just so frustrated."
