Sky Bet have suspended betting on Manchester City signing midfielder Fabian Delph from Aston Villa this summer.

Delph has established himself as a key part of both Villa and England's midfield during the last 12 months with City reported to be big admirers of the former Leeds player.

Sky Bet's Michael White said: "This market has been the transfer saga of the summer. It hasn't been a question of where Delph was going, but whether or not Manchester City could get this deal over the line.

"Following a run of bets at very short prices today we have made the decision to pull the market as he looks bound for the Etihad."
