Alkmaar's El Hamdaoui eyeing Premiership return

AZ Alkmaar striker Mounir El Hamdaoui says he would love to try his luck in the English Premier League again.

The Dutch-born Morocco international enjoyed stints with Tottenham and Derby County a few years back and after improving his game out of sight in Holland, says he would love to one day return to England.

"I love the English league," the 25-year-old told skysports.com.

"I want to prove myself there one day as all the best strikers are there - (Wayne) Rooney, (Didier) Drogba, (Fernando) Torres, (Dimitar) Berbatov. I have a dream of joining them.

"I have a contract here, though, until 2012 and my club would need to let me leave. You never know what might happen.

"I am scoring goals in this league regularly but my ambition is to score in the biggest leagues, so let's wait and see what happens in June."
