Jeremie Aliadiere is happy with his move to Middlesbrough.

The French striker told the Evening Gazette: "When I left Arsenal I had the opportunity to go to other clubs, but I really wanted to come here because I knew the manager had confidence in me and he wanted me to play every week.

"All I wanted was to play football every week, which I'm doing.

"That was the big thing for me - going to a club where I was going to play every week and become a better player.

"You get better playing every week and playing in a good team and playing against good players."

He added: "Next season is a new start for everybody and the players who came in this season will be stronger than they were this season.

"I'm really looking forward to it and think we'll be a much better team."
