Aliadiere desperate to break Middlesbrough duck

In-form Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere admits he's desperate to break his scoring duck.

"I'm trying my very, very best. I thought Birmingham was going to be the day. I had a few chances but the ball just wouldn't go into the back of the net," he told mfc.co.uk.

"I've been working hard since I've been here and done my best in every training session.

"But the goals will come, I'm sure about that. As long as we're winning, I'm a happy boy.

"Gareth and the club have given me the opportunity to play every weekend and I want to take that chance and do the business on the pitch."

On his flourishing partnership with Mido, Aliadiere added: "We get on quite well together. I think we're both different types of striker. I like making runs behind him and I try and create space for him as well.

"We have an attacking mentality and want to go forward at every opportunity. When we're on the ball we want to make runs, stretch teams and go for goals.

"When you have a game like this, you want to have another one very soon. We're very confident and already looking forward to the trip to West Ham."
