Aliadiere delighted to see Tuncay grab Middlesbrough goal

Jeremie Aliadiere was delighted to see Tuncay Sanli grab his first goal for Middlesbrough in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Reading.

Tuncay has been unable to command a regular place since his summer move from Fenerbahce. But the Turkish international scored with a header following a terrific cross from Luke Young.

Aliadiere said: "I feel for Tuncay. It's important to get your first goal, particularly when you are a forward.

"Hopefully that will give him more confidence for next week.

"He has always been professional and waited for the opportunities. When you change country it is difficult. I know that through personal experience when I left France for Arsenal.

"Next week will be the first time I have played against Arsenal. It will be special and a bit strange. It would be nice to score against them and win the game."
