Napoli ace Faouzi Ghoulam accepted Germany were too strong for Algeria in their World Cup defeat.
The North Africans went toe to toe with their illustrious opponents in Porto Alegre throughout, taking Joachim Low's team to extra time but eventually succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.
"It's very difficult to accept the outcome of the match today," Napoli's Ghoulam said after the final whistle.
"We played a fantastic match, in spite of the difficulties we faced. It's a shame, we wanted to do something for our country and for those who have accompanied us on this adventure.
"In any case, however, the better team won."
