Alexis Sanchez is reportedly asking for a pay increase in order to remain with Arsenal.

The Daily Mirror suggests that the Chilean forward wants £200,000 per week from the Gunners if he is to agree a two-year contract offer.

Sanchez is currently contracted until 2018 but the North London club are eager to tie him down until 2020.

It is understood that the 27-year-old attacker wants to join Mesut Ozil as the club's highest earner after it emerged that the German playmaker will be earning around £200,000-a-week after add-ons once he pens a new contract.

Former Barcelona star Sanchez also wants a release clause in any new contract.
