Alexander Buttner has revealed no-one at Manchester United has questioned his transfer.

United's deal for the Vitesse Arnhem fullback raised some eyebrows.

But Buttner revealed to Voetbal International: "Of course there is still plenty to improve, but everyone around me thought I deserved my contract.

"That was something that previously was very important for me. There was much said and written about the transfer, I've been here now for a few weeks and am perfectly settled, but would like to get on the field to show this."
