The Norwegian's amazing volley inspired the Canaries to a critical win.
Tettey, thrilled by his 30-yarder into the top corner, said: "I don't know where that came from - it was a great strike and a great goal. I caught it beautifully.
"I have a bet with the club physios that I will get 30 goals in training and I've only got about 10 so far. So I'm hoping they will call it off.
"But that goal alone is worth 30 in training. I've scored in every league I've played in so far so I'm really happy to get my first in the Premier League.
"But goal of the season - no, it's not even goal of the day. I've just seen Wayne Rooney score from the halfway line at West Ham so that was even better!
"We're not safe yet and I think we still need another two wins and maybe a couple of draws too. But do that and then we will be fine."
