Alex Smith happy to bide time at Fulham
Alex Smith has received public praise from Fulham management in preseason.
The Croydon-born youngster has been given a taste of what will hopefully be a feature of the future.
“It’s been great to be involved, but I can’t get ahead of myself,” he told fulhamfc.com. “I don’t feel I need to be thinking about First Team football at this moment in time because there is a lot of hard work ahead of me.
“Of course, it’s been a big boost and I think I have shown that the potential is there – now it’s all about keeping my head down and seeing what comes of that.
“I’m very much looking at the season ahead with the Development Squad and looking to improve in every way I can as a player. But it’s certainly an exciting challenge.”
