The Houston Dynamo announced today that midfielder Alex Dixon has been loaned to the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the North American Soccer League (NASL).

The loan is effective immediately and will expire on May 5, at which time Dixon will return to the Dynamo.

Dixon, 23, appeared in four regular season games (one start) in 2012. He also started eight MLS Reserve League games, scoring two goals and notching three assists, helping the Dynamo win the Central/Mountain Division title. The Atascocita High School graduate is one of five players from the Dynamo Academy, presented by Statoil, to have signed a homegrown contract since 2009.
