Chelsea won't be taking Carling Cup opponents Burnley lightly tonight, says defender Alex.

"As players we always know a game is 11 against 11, we don't see differently because it's a team from a lower division. It doesn't matter if they are from the second or third division, we have to respect them to give our best because for example last year we played Leicester and in the last minute we won 4-3," Alex recalled to chelseafc.com.

"It was a very difficult game to play so this time we will have to try the same as we always do, respect the opposition, give our best and try to win the game because we want to get to the final of all competitions."
