Alex Bruce has discovered he's been released by Hull City on Twitter!

The official Hull Twitter account - @HullCity - announced their retained list today.

A tweet read: “Alex Bruce heads a list of players who will leave the Tigers once their contracts expire at the end of June."

But Bruce appeared to be taken aback by Hull's announcement.

He included a thumbs-up emoji in a reply and wrote: “Thanks for letting me know!! All the best."
