Alejandro Faurlin admits QPR transfer controversy made him suicidal

Alejandro Faurlin admits his transfer controversy at QPR last season left him almost suicidal.

QPR's promotion to the Premier League was under threat as his move to Loftus Road was investigated by authorities.

Faurlin told the Sunday Mirror: "It was very tough. The situation lasted two months and it wasn't just bad for me but also for my family.

"We were so pleased it finished in the right way, otherwise I would have killed myself.

"From the beginning of the season to the end we were always top of the league and we worked hard for every point. So imagine how I would have felt if I had let down my team.

"It wasn't about me, it was about my contract. But my name was there and I really felt it.

"My family and friends were all worried. Even my father came across to England to be with me and support me.
