Liverpool legend John Aldridge says Philippe Coutinho should be dropped for Joe Allen at Manchester United this weekend. Though Coutinho has thrived playing in behind Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge in Liverpool's attacking system, Aldridge feels Joe Allen's work-rate would be more beneficial.
"A lot of debate will centre of on the type of team Brendan Rodgers will pick at Old Trafford, I am sure," Aldridge told the Liverpool Echo.
"I think Joe Allen will start, and I can see exactly why, as well.
"You need grafters when you go to places like Old Trafford, and a midfield of Allen, Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard is full of graft."
