Liverpool legend John Aldridge is happy hearing the club is standing by manager Brendan Rodgers.
Aldridge wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "Brendan Rodgers has got big problems at the moment, but I am not for one second suggesting that his position as manager should be under threat.
"To say otherwise is, in my opinion, nonsense. The manager is accountable when things go wrong, but he also deserves time to get things back on track. I know he retains the full faith of the owners, and rightly so.
"You don't become a bad manager overnight, and Rodgers proved last season that he can get it right at Anfield, with spectacular results."
