New Tottenham signing Toby Alderweireld is confident Spurs can secure a top-four finish in the Premier League next season.

Spurs finished fifth last term, six points adrift of an all-important Champions League spot, and have not claimed a place in Europe's most prestigious club competition since the 2010/11 campaign.

But the Belgium international believes such an achievement is a realistic target for Mauricio Pochettino's squad.

"Well, we have to see. We have a young, talented group with a lot of potential.

"We want to finish in the top four so that is going to be difficult - it always is in the Premier League. We are confident in ourselves to achieve that," the 26-year-old defender declared.
