Raul Albiol is delighted with his form for Real Madrid.

After a stuttering start to his Madrid career, the former Valencia defender is establishing himself as a first-choice for coach Manuel Pellegrini.

"I'm happy. Things are going well and hopefully the team can be fight back against Lyon and also fight for the Liga. I've proven I can play here and that they were not wrong with my signing," smiled Albiol.

"The credit goes to the whole team. I like to highlight the efforts of all my colleagues when defending. That makes it easier for me and helps us not to concede goals. There is trust and acknowledgment that we are a strong defensive team."
