Alberto Malesani has been named new coach of Palermo.
Malesani succeeds Gian Piero Gasperini after his sacking this week.
A statement published on palermocalcio.it read: "Palermo have entrusted the care of the first team to Alberto Malesani.
"The 59-year-old coach is taking his first training session now and will be presented at Boccadifalco tomorrow morning."
