Alberto Gilardino offered to crisis club Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are interested in Alberto Gilardino.

The Daily Mail says Palace have been offered the chance to sign free agent striker Gilardino.

The 35-year-old won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 and the Champions League with AC Milan in 2007.

The former Italy international has been without a club since leaving Pescara last season, in which he only made three appearances.

Palace want a striker as cover following Christian Benteke's injury against Manchester City on September 23.

Roy Hodgson's Palace side have yet to score a Premier League goal following a disastrous start to the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
