Albert Soler has resigned as football director at Barcelona.

Soler remains with Barca, but will no longer be involved with the football department, reports Sport.

The director is exhausted after three years in the football role and tendered his resignation to Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu yesterday.

Soler will now focus on handball and basketball.

His departure follows the decision of fellow football director Raul Sanllehi to quit the club last week.
