David Albelda says Valencia's campaign has been hurt by injuries.

Los Che have lost eight of their 33 fixtures this season and lie 24 points behind second-placed Madrid and four points above fourth-placed Real Mallorca after the 2-0 midweek loss at the Bernabeu.

But they are determined to finish a disappointing campaign as the best of the rest with strong performances in the remaining five matches.

"We are not in our best moment because injuries have stopped us from being able to rotate the squad and many players have clocked up a lot of minutes and are tired," Albelda said on lfp.es.

"But we only have a month left and we have to take this forward the best we can."
