Valencia captain David Albelda says the club's fans should be supporting the players more for the way they have committed to the club.

With the likes of David Silva and David Villa resisting bigger offers to move away, Albelda argued: "Here there are young players with great futures and are willing compromise - not to play for money.

"They could be earning more elsewhere in the Liga. Here there is a wage ceiling, just like at many other clubs."
