Albelda was angry with sections of the home fans that chanted Real Madrid captain Raul's name during the game and snapped afterwards: "It is not normal that winning such an important game as this one, the fans are more interested in reminding everyone and chanting the name of a player who no longer is part of the team."

However, Real and Spain defender Sergio Ramos insisted the Bernabeu crowd were right to call for Raul: "I do not feel like a victim because they remember him, they're singing about a player who has given much to the national team and Real Madrid - and I hope that he continues doing so."
