Alaves are set to send Bojan Krkic back to parent club Stoke City.
Bojan, formerly of Barcelona, had signed for Alaves on a season-long loan last summer, but has struggled to make an impact on his return to the LaLiga.
The striker was absent for Alaves' Copa del Rey win over Formentera - a decision coach Abelardo Fernández revealed was made by the club before kickoff.
All indications are that Bojan will have his loan terminated and sent back to Stoke.
Alaves are in talks to sign Celta Vigo striker John Guidetti as a replacement.
