Royston Drenthe regrets not making it at Everton.

The former Real Madrid winger signed for Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia last week.

"It was great there, but I did not succeed at that club," said Drenthe. "That it did not work, is my own fault, and nobody else. Everton is a great club and have a great manager in David Moyes.

"But I've done stupid things and so our ways parted. That is now history. I have new dreams and want to bring to Alania trophies."
