Al Wasl chairman Marwan bin Bayat has confirmed they've made an offer to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Drogba also has interest from Real Madrid and Shanghai Shenhua.

Bayat said the offer from the United Arab Emirates club was 'definitely serious' but that the Ivorian 'seems more interested in China.'

Coach Diego Maradona wants the club to bring in bigger names after a season in which it finished eighth in the 12-team UAE pro league.
