UAE giants Al Wahda have made an offer for Seongnam Ilhwa defender Sasa Ognenovski.
The Australian international is on the verge of departing Seongnam after joining from Adelaide United in 2009 and guiding the Pegasus to the 2010 Asian Football Confederation Champions League title.
Al Wahda assistant chief executive Khaled Awadh told The National that the four-time UAE champions had indeed made a bid for the 32-year old centre-half.
"We have made him an offer and are also in talks with his present club," Awadh said.
"We are aware he is in demand but we are still open for negotiations. At the end, it is up to him to decide where he goes.
"Only time will tell where he is headed to, but the door is open for him at Al Wahda. If he decides to sign for us, it will be a great addition."
If Ognenovski does head to UAE, he will follow Socceroos teammates Lucas Neill and Mark Bresciano who recently joined Al Jazira and Al Nasr respectively.
