Mark Bresciano is not set to leave Al Nasr for Qatari club Al Gharafa according to his current club.
The 32-year old Australian midfielder had a brilliant debut season in the UAE with Al Nasr, scoring 11 goals in 23 appearances, but there were some reports suggesting he was set to cut short his two-year deal and move on to Qatar.
However, team manager Khalid Obaid confirmed that the former Lazio, Palermo, Parma and Empoli man will not be departing Al Nasr this summer.
"Bresciano has returned to pre-season training and remains an Al Nasr player. He will travel with us to Italy for a camp from August 21 to September 11," he said.
"Until now, there is nothing regarding a move to Qatar. We have not received anything official and there is nothing in this."
