Al Ittihad win in stoppage time against Al Shabab

Al Ittihad scored a stoppage-time winner to knock Saudi rivals Al Shabab out of the Asian Champions League.

In front of 13,000 fans at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium, Abdulaziz bin Saran put Al Shabab ahead in the 17th minute after a mistake by Ittihad keeper Mabrouk Zaid.

A minute after half-time however, Ittihad were back on level terms through an Osama Al-Harbi header.

The match ebbed and flowed when the scoreline was 1-1 and it wasn't until the final moments where a result conjured.

Hicham Aboucherouane received the ball after a lovely pass from Naif Hazazi and hit the back of the net in stoppage time to give Ittihad a memorable victory.

It also made them the last Sauid team left in the competition after Al Hilal and Ettifaq and of course Al Shabab were eliminated.
