Al Ittihad down FC Seoul in AFC Champions League quarters

Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad have beaten Korean champions FC Seoul 3-1 in the AFC Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Mohammed Noor scored first for Al Ittihad on the stroke of half-time before Osama Al Harbi made it 2-0 in the 76th.

Seoul's Kim Dong-woo got one back for the visitors before Brazilian midfielder Wendel Geraldo, who joined Al Ittihad in the summer from French side Bordeaux, scored in stoppage time to hand the 2004 and 2005 champions a two-goal cushion heading into the second leg.

In the three other AFC Champions League quarter-finals, Iran's Sepahan edged out Qatar's Al Sadd 1-0 in Fooladshahr, while last year's finalists Zobahan held South Korea outfit Suwon Bluewings to a 1-1 draw.

And in the most exciting match of the four final eight outings, Cerezo Osaka edged Jeonbuk Motors 4-3 in Japan.
