Al-Ittihad coast through to ACL final

Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad have eased through to the final of the Asian Champions League with an 8-3 aggregate win over Japan's Nagoya Grampus.

After the 6-2 home demolition in the first leg, Al-Ittihad overcame Grampus to win 2-1 in Nagoya and book their place in the final where they will meet Korean club Pohang Steelers.

Despite the ease of their semi-final win, coach Gabriel Calderon was not getting carried away leading into the final.

"Before every match the chance to win is 50/50 for each team so I cannot say who will win," Calderon said according to the-afc.com.

"But we always play for a win and we will do so again in the final."

Al-Ittihad meet Pohang in the final in Tokyo on November 7.
