Harry Kewell has been released by Qatari club Al-Gharafa after just four matches.
The 34-year old former Leeds United, Liverpool, Galatasaray and Melbourne Victory winger joined Al-Gharafa as an injury replacement signing for fellow Australian Mark Bresciano in early April but is now without a club.
Kewell's six-week deal has expired and with Bresciano returning to full fitness, he has not been offered a renewal meaning he will return to England in search of a new club.
The 58-times capped Socceroos ace is hoping to force his way into Holger Osieck's squad ahead of the 2014 World Cup but this has placed doubt on that possibility.
