Asamoah Gyan has Al-Ain on fire according to teammate and strike partner Alex Brosque.
The 27-year old former Sunderland, Udinese and Rennes striker is back in form for the UAE Pro-League leaders after his African Cup of Nations duties with Ghana and has them well situated to take out this seasons title says Australian international Brosque.
"We are doing well and we've lost only two games all season so, fingers crossed, we should take out the championship," he told SBS.
"I am still playing up front alongside Ghana's Asamoah Gyan.
"He was away on Africa Cup of Nations duty in January and our form dipped a bit but now that he's back we're on fire again. In the last match he scored our two goals (in the 2-1 win at Al-Wasl)."
This season, Gyan has scored 24 goals in 17 outings, adding to the 22 league goals he scored last season after joining from the Black Cats. In addition. Brosque has scored nine as Al-Ain sit eight points clear of Bani Yas at the top of the table.
