West Ham United are considering a move for Emmanuel Emenike, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan had recently revealed that the club were in the market to sign a new striker from a 'strange' league.
Sullivan said on Sky Sports News HQ: "We are looking long-term for a 20-goals-a-season striker. There's a possibility that a striker will come in on loan in the next seven days, with an option to buy.
"He's an overseas striker. If I told you, you wouldn't believe it. I can't tell you which league because then you'll know exactly who it is.
"We are signing from a very strange league. But he has played in higher leagues."
As a result, a host of names have been linked with a move to West Ham and now according to reports, it has been claimed that the Hammers are close to securing the services of Nigerian international Emenike.
The 28-year-old is currently on loan at UAE outfit Al Ain from Turkish club Fenerbahce.
