The nine-time UAE champions have agreed a four year deal for Valdivia from Brazilian side Palmeiras.
"I am happy to join a big club like Al Ain," the Venezuela-born 24-year-old said.
"I have heard a lot about the club as one of the major powers in the UAE and GCC countries."
