Al Ahly youngster Saber: Egypt now fully behind Liverpool

Al Ahly youngster Mahmoud Saber admits Mohamed Salah's success has turned Egypt's football fans into Liverpool supporters.

Saber has been linked with Stoke City this week.

And he told The Sun: “We are all excited to see Salah play on Saturday and hopefully win the Champions League with Liverpool.

“He has been incredible this season, scoring so many goals in his first year back in England, he deserves to be a European champion.

“I would say around 90 per cent of Egypt now supports Liverpool, wherever he goes we all follow him, that is how much we love Salah.

“We heard some in England doubted him, but we would never do that.

“We knew he wanted to go back to England to prove what a great player he is, and he has now showed the world how great he is.

“One day I hope to play in Europe, and maybe like him I could be one of the best players in the world."
