New York Red Bull have acquired the services of Andre Akpan from Colorado Rapids.
The 25-year old forward arrives at the Red Bulls in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 MLS Draft.
"Andre is strong, physical forward with MLS experience and will provide another attacking option for our coaching staff," said Red Bulls sporting director Andy Roxburgh in a statement. "We are pleased to sign him and look forward to his contributions in the coming season."
Rapids technical director Paul Bravo added: "We would like to thank Andre for what he gave to the Rapids since coming to the team ahead of the 2010 season. He scored some good goals for us and was a positive presence in the locker room over the last couple seasons, and we wish him the very best in New York."
