Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder is ready to resist an offer from Real Madrid.

AS says Sneijder has emerged as Real's No1 midfield target after being rejected by Chelsea's Michael Ballack last week.

However, the midfielder is reluctant to leave Ajax and is keen to stick with Henk ten Cate for at least another 12 months.

Real are finding the same response from Olympique Marseille starlet Samir Nasri, who would prefer another season in Ligue 1 before making the move to a bigger competition.
