Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan has resisted interest from Manchester United.
The Sun says United were desperate to land the prospect in January with reports claiming the 16-year-old was at United's training ground a month prior ahead of a potential deal.
United scouts have been keeping close tabs on the youngster since the reign of ex-boss Louis van Gaal.
But he told Goal: “The club knows what I want and that is to get in the first team. I want to be the first-choice striker of Ajax.
"There is a contract coming my way here and I will definitely sign it."
