Frank de Boer is telling Ajax not to undersell Liverpool target Luis Suarez and hold out for a mega-offer. Newspaper reports had suggested Suarez was on the verge of a move to Anfield but de Boer claims that only an offer in the Edin Dzeko range should be considered by the Dutch giants.
"We know how important Luis is for Ajax," he told De Telegraaf.
"Only when an absurd amount is on the table should we let him go."
When pressed on what that figure might be, it was noted that Edin Dzeko went for around 30million euros, and he hinted that would be about the price they are looking for.
"That is a tidy sum," he said.
"Luis feels good and is training well, I don't think he will leave at any cost."
Liverpool are reported to be looking at a deal worth 15million euros, possibly with Ryan Babel included but that is obviously still some way short of Ajax's potential valuation.
